I having loved four dogs, as an adult, all different breeds; can proclaim that NONE of them wanted to linger in rain, sleet or snow, and two would not venture off the porch in winter weather.
When visiting our son in Alaska,we would walk his dog for him at times. The only thing worse than the nasty weather were the bears roaming the neighborhood.

Why it is a lot easier to have a cat. Only cleaning up is in the litter box. Wonder if you can teach a dog to use a litter box?

Had a greyhound who would insist on a walk in the rain, but as soon as she stepped out from under the roof, she’d do her business and head back in.

They take longer in the rain because it’s harder to find a sent. Right? My dog says right. :-)
