I went to a yard sale a few years ago where the adult children of a recently deceased codger were selling off his household effects. One of the offerings was a female life-size plastic blow-up doll and she was yawning too, just like this leprechaun.

One archbishop bought a batch of English translation Bibles to keep them from the hands of the laity. They had a misprint and would have needed to be destroyed anyway. The purchase financed the editing, correction, and reprinting. (And England was the better for it.)

According to the description on Creators.com, she’s in Ohio….

“Agnes chronicles the adventures of an elementary school-aged girl living in an Ohio trailer park called “The People’s Court” with (her) grandmother."

“Agnes is poor and not what one would consider a classical beauty, but she is a dreamer and schemer, whose limitless imagination and ambitions are constantly brought down to Earth by her limited resources and social standing.”

My take, FWIW, is that the pastor was just being kind…

He gets exasperated with Agnes, but he’s also amused, if he’d admit it, by her intelligence and wild imagination.

He knows how hard Grandma works and how little they have.

So I’m guessing he may have let Agnes think he was a believer….

and he bought the leprechaun to save the Midwest from snakes.

    Could be wrong.

Was that a sale or an act of extortion?
