We all missed Saturday morning cartoons, the big 3 networks don’t do that anymore not in the last 20 years. They just turned into big toy commercials anyway…FCC said they were not “Educational” I mean really?It’s not important to know that if you’re small and blue to stay the hell away from Gargamel?Or not to order anything from the Acme catalog because it will backfire on you?
I have 24 broadcast channels, I checked this morning and None had cartoons. Only 2 were vaguely catering to children and one of those was a 60+ year old rerun of “Jeff’s Collie” aka “Lassie”. Outrageous.
Very dated joke as there are no more Sat morning cartoons. Now they run 24 hours on multiple channels. But I remember as a kid setting the alarm and having a TV guide with all my favs circled. A six year old with a Sat morning gameplan lol
For those of you feeling nostalgic for the old WB and Looney Tunes comics, there are channels available on Roku streaming devices. They have a lot of retro channels.
Road Runner came on at 7, so Dad would whip up an artery-clogging breakfast for us at 6:30 for us to eat on tv tables as we watched Wile E. try his darnest..
