So we’ve gone from a thrilling story involving a serial killer to a momentum-killing halt dead-end in a salute to Gasoline Alley to now, where the focus is on the sort-of something relationship between two tertiary characters who are complete cyphers to most followers of the strip.
Joe tells Bonnie he is on a “business trip . . .working a case.” But he told Tracy he had taken personal leave time to come to the City. Which is it, I wonder?
However things may or may not have been in the past, out West, here in Tracyville Bonnie and Joe seem to getting off to a smooth (re-)start. But any potential romance between them is still secondary to the case of the Butcher, who is lurking somewhere just out of sight….
