Yet another lie by a Trump Disciple.

    What a surprise.

    .

    One more time:

If what you really want is fewer abortions, make birth control available, effective, and used — all to the extent that it is needed.

    .

OTOH, if what you really want is to punish poor women, just continue with the lies.

How stupid does someone have to be to not be able to differentiate an embryo/fetus from a born infant? I suppose Lisa Benson also can’t differentiate between a toddler, a teen and a young adult? She thinks toddlers should be in high school, fifteen-year-olds should be able to vote and young adults should be eligible for Medicare (well, it would be great if she supported Medicare for young adults — and everyone else — universal Medicare).

No, Lisa, there is no place in the United States or most of the industrialized world where infanticide is either legal or proposed to be legal.

Ms Benson, the party you support has policies that are driving all life in the planet towards extinction. Your concern for a few fetal cells does not make you “pro-life”. If anyone should be portrayed as the grim reaper it’s the GOP.

Lisa hates killing them before they are born, much better to wait till they are older and make better moving targets for the police.

Pretty sure she’s talking about the “Reproductive Health Act” from Illinois. Not only does it allow for an abortion up to the point of birth, but part of the 120 page bill says that the law would remove any statute protecting the life of a child who is born alive as a result of a late-term abortion. Certainly sounds like they want to “abort” a child even after birth.

So, Lisa, once again you go for a theoretical, rather than comment on the mass infant rapes by DJT’s Border Thugs. How Christian of you. How Republican of you. In case you missed it, I’m accusing you of hypocrisy. Have a nice day.

I think this is in response to the Vermont house bill that passed last week which allows abortion up to the time of birth for any reason. Which is simply egregious.

These are women who are going to give birth to a dead or dying baby.

NO woman just blithely decides to abort in the ninth month. These are women who have gone from picking out baby clothes to being told their baby will DIE. It’s a terrible tragedy, and they deserve every bit as much compassion as a woman who miscarries.

And the right-wing demagogues rile people up to scream “MURDERER” at a woman when she’s still in mourning. It’s sickening.

It’s not a myth, the Reproductive Health Act permits late term abortion. If a woman was impregnated during rape, sorry, but she shouldnt have waited until it was a baby to make the decision to kill it. If Casey Anthony would have waited until 2019 to murder her baby, she might have been protected by the defense that it was just a ninth trimester abortion.

I wish I had not witnessed infanticide. My family warned me, when there was a crowd looking over the edge of the bridge, (a block from my elementary school) into the river, NOT to look. That was the way, before Roe, that people eliminated unwanted babies. I wish I could unsee and un-remember it. Once was enough … I really don’t think we should return to those days. Different Christian religions have different policies on abortion as do other religions. This seems to be a personal belief. We are a secular nation and not a theocracy. In the US, we were founded with religious tolerance spelled out very plainly. For those seeking a church-state, I’m sure there are plenty of other counties that would welcome you.

“I didn’t murder my baby” by an obstetrician who experienced late term problems. It covers the kinds of decisions that must be made by both the couple involved and the physician.

Just because the Right Wing Noise Machine gave it the fancy new name of “infanticide” doesn’t mean everyone’s going to just forget their long-standing hypocrisy regarding abortions and treating kids post-birth.

Hmmmm. So, it is ok for Dems to have symbolic votes but not ok for the GOP to do so. Got it.

Face it kids, the Dems really stepped on their collective dick on this one. There are a whole lot of pro-choice people, myself included, who want at least some limits on abortion. I believe the general consensus is 3rd trimester.

To go on record refusing to support an infanticide ban, symbolic or not, is really very foolish. Take this, the knee jerk support for the new green spiel and other loony ideas and the center left voter is going to be thinking twice about supporting Dems in 2020.

No one is supporting infanticide. This is theater cooked up by Republicans because they don’t have anything else to gin up support. They have passed tax cuts for the wealthy, greatly increased the debt, want to cut social Security and Medicare to make up for the tax cut, want to keep decimating the environment and they don;t want to provide support for people that need it, which would include a deformed fetus that would be required to be put on life support by the ridiculous bill. The Repubs want to cut funding for Planned Parenthood which cuts access to birth control for poor women which leads to MORE abortions.

1.3% of abortions are done after 20 weeks; a fetus is not viable until 23 weeks and even then is is very iffy. Women are not waiting until then to have abortions by choice, they are being done to protect the woman’s health / life or because of fetal abnormality. If the fetus survives, a determination i s made by the doctor about viability and then a decision is made between the woman and the doctor to determine if just comfort is provided or if drastic measures should be done if the fetus could survive.

Those that are claiming that this is infanticide are completely uninformed.

Read the NY Times article. Should the fetus have been put through more pain by providing extreme life-saving measures?

If you refuse by denigrating the NY Times, that just shows why you are uninformed and willing to believe any garbage Fox, the Repubs and Trump feed you.

I’m an atheist, have been since my teens, and that’s been quite a few decades. And I’ve voted for as many Democrats as Republicans in my life, including Obama both times. I’ve also always supported abortion rights…so long as there is a reasonable time limit.

However, the concept of allowing abortions up until the due date, as well as the refusal to assist a baby born alive is absolutely infanticide. Dems have lost me on this one now…it’s murder….nothing more/nothing less.
