As a kid, I never played sports; I played AT sports. I was never any good, but it didn’t stop me from making a fool out of myself. My friends tolerated me, but I never got to play in a “serious” game.

Well he doesn’t have to worry about his fastball getting a speeding ticket.

I’m not going to mock him, pitching is hard. When I played little league I was an outfielder, I was trained to throw a ball a great distance in a way that it would be easy to catch, but one time when I tried to pitch during practice I couldn’t get the release point right, it either went straight into the ground or soared over everyone’s head.

What would happen if Peter threw a pitch at 90% the speed of light?

I joined our local ball team when I was in elementary school, hoping they’d help me get better and teach me the skills I needed to be a good player… and have fun. Sadly, all they were interested in doing was making fun of me. And that was back in the early 70s.
