It is nice to have something other than the current political situation. Politics is a target rich environment for humor even in the best of times, but it does get tiring after a while.
I am a big Rockwell fan so I recognized this one immediately. It was interesting to see how Norman evolved. His Saturday Evening Post pictures were all about Americana – White Americana.
As the 1960’s came along, he started painting and drawing more contemporary works.
People can evolve. It’s called “growing up” and it should not stop until you die.
The so-called red hat/native American face off turned out to be a very complicated event, which was edited into a simpler, negative format by people who tried to get the most news value out of it. Nothing draws the attention like controversy, even manufactured events.

Blackface Video Proves Covington Catholic Has Been A Racist Cesspool For Years
Instead of the cycle of viral clips, it’s more like the ourobouros of viral hate: each one swallowing the infinite rancorous tail of flash outrage. There are no facts, no research, no waiting to see if there are still at least two sides to a story.
That event bolsters my belief that social media and it’s ability to let us stew in our echo chambers is a big part of what’s driving the divisions in our country and maybe the world. On top of that, I feel the media neglects one of it’s main responsibilities when reporting…FACT CHECKING.

Is this about the game of Gossip concerning the teen and the Native American? The red hat seems to be a clue.

One of Trump’s lawyers went to Covington.
Just a bunch of boys who crossed several states to protest women’s rights.
Trump will have them over to the WH, won’t that be jolly!

Bad things happen when loyalty to one’s country is superseded by other self-satisfying loyalties and convictions.

Is it my imagination, or do the three men in the cartoon look bemused or neutral while the women all looked outraged?
