My 15 yr old border collie mix makes that noise when she scratches her back on the carpet. :-)
When the poodle here emits such sounds, he is exuding something other than charm. I ensure that I am as far away as feasible.
This is perfect for our Sophie, too. She seems to have a lot of “charm” right now!
