There were similar demands that the Democrats investigate Bush and Chaney’s actions, especially in invading the wrong country after 9/11. They used that leverage instead to pass Obamacare and advance the Democratic party agenda. There is no reason to assume Pelosi would switch tactics and waste any advantage that Trump’s stupidity gives her on anything that isn’t to the Dems’ advantage. Harming the Republicans would not be to the Democrats’ advantage. Let the voters in 2020 feel like that’s something they are going to get to have the fun of doing all by themselves.
