A little dated, but still true. Just change the name of the company.

What happened was even worse that that. Sales weren’t that bad (there is always someone who wants to eat high-fat chemical-laden… wrapped in cellophane). The company wasn’t doing that bad before being taken over by parasite capitalists. who, after demanding concessions from the union, “financed” and consulted the company into bankruptcy while paying themselves hugely.

Anybody else remember “Twinkie the Kid” from those old Hostess comic book ads?

Hostess did have some union agreement problems. The drivers delivered by product instead of delivering all of their products in one truck to a store. Several drivers would service the same store in a day.

Usually the evil villain laugh is “bwa -ha-ha.” I’m hoping that was a typo, or else my faith in evil villain laughs will be shattered!

Greed versus the strength of an economy based on the strength of a healthy middle-class…but they’ll never learn – “greed” is just too “pretty”.

To quote Shaw, “Liberty means responsibility. That is why most men dread it.”

“My religion is to do good …” – Thomas Paine

“When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it.” -Frederic Bastiat
