He may be gone but he certainly is not forgotten.

Of course he’s dead! You’ve cut off his head and turned it to stone!

Schroder: He may be dead, but his music lives on for you to enjoy!

Victor Borge appeared on the Muppet Show, and they had a bust of Beethoven on his piano. During the opening sequence, Borge asked “Any requests?” The BUST replied, “Yes! Don’t play Beethoven!”

As ever, the problem with being on the Muppet Show is that anyTHING is capable of talking back to you. :-) [sarc]

Now that I’m a senior citizen, it’s amazing to me how many things there are that young people have no idea about (I work at a high school): John Kennedy was assassinated – who’s he? Look, Paul McCartney was in a band before Wings. Camera film??-really?

The fates were cruel to Beethoven in depriving him of his hearing, but they endowed him with that rarest ofblessings, which Schroeder will come to understand in time: immortality. Happy 250th Birthday Ludwig, and thank you for all the beauty you bequeathed us.

Pretty sure that would apply to most Classical musicians…

One thing here: even CB and Patty are probably not old enough to understand the concept of death, and Schroeder surely isn’t old enough.
