Charlie Brown does not know how to tell time (vocally) yet, does he?

By the time my son was that age, he could not only tell time on an analog clock, but he could also convert military (24-hour) time to 12-hour time.

How do we know it’s not a quarter past ten?

Is this the first appearance of the famous striped shirt?

When my brother was eight years old, our family visited Audubon Park in New Orleans. We stopped to look at a sundial in a flower bed. Someone asked, “What time is it?” My little brother said, “Oh, it’s a shade past three.” And it was. We never quite figured out if he realized the pun he’d made, but were pretty impressed with his understanding of a sundial, which none of us knew he’d ever seen.

And the zig zag appears.

What was that thing he looked at?

Fun how this strip works today in a new way. Now it can be read as C.B. being unfamiliar with analog clocks, although perhaps proficient with digital ones.

So his mother found him that same shirt in a larger size when he got a bigger?

I’m surprised that he knows how to read a real, non-digital clock.

This is the first sighting of Charlie Brown’s zigzag pattern on his shirt, if I’m not mistaken.
