The new climate warning is coming from the federal government.

    TRUMP’s federal government.

But just as Trump believes Vladimir Putin and Mohammed bin Salman over the unanimous consensus of his own intelligence agencies (headed by HIS appointees) on matters of national security, so also Trump believes his Big Oil and Big Coal donors over the science of his own public safety and science agencies (headed by HIS appointees) in matters of security of our health and future economic stability.

Trump says they are using the most extreme, worst-case scenario. But these are his RepubliCON appointees. The reality from a broad consensus of external scientists is even more foreboding.

And as for that raking FIBrication … Trump says the president of Finland said they prevent wild fires by raking leaves. The president of Finland has confirmed that he never said anything about “raking leaves” to prevent fires.

Is Trump lying or delusional? Answer: both.

POLL: Is he incredibly stupid (really doesn’t know climate change is occurring & caused my man) or remarkably craven (knows his policies are hastening change & just doesn’t care)? What’s your take?

Glorious Leader does give us one valuable thing – the chance to show by our actions that we are not him.

A simple agreement on standards of competency — job requirements — for those who wish to hold public office would have eliminated all the doubts, suspicions and innuendo attached to the current person attempting to fulfill the obligation of the presidency. I cannot think of an organization that has merely age and citizenship as their only job requirements. The screening done by the political parties certainly does not put the love of country or public service at the top of the list.

Our Congress is not supposed to make rash decisions for the benefit of a portion of the population but rather slow deliberative, collaborative, compromising decisions that exclude no portion of the population and will serve for a long period of time making the government more stable for the entire populace.

There are unforeseen events such as the priority of political ideology over the obligation to defend and protect the Constitution which seem to nullify the check of impeachment process when the same party has control of the executive and both house of Congress. We seem to be in a Catch-22 situation where those representatives who could/should make the repairs are the least inclined to do so. Our current officeholder should be ashamed of the deviation from the US Constitution yet pursue self-interest undaunted.

At the end of the day, Trump cares about nothing beyond his own state of mind at the moment, and whether people are praising him — not even his own family’s future. There’s a reason — many reasons, really — why he has been diagnosed as a malignant narcissist!

The only way Washington is going to believe there is Climate Change is when a Hurricane comes up the Potomac River and hits Washington and Georgetown with a massive flood and incredible damage to Senatorial, Congressional and Lobbyist Houses. Then they find out their Insurance doesn’t cover Hurricane Damage.

I’m getting tired of deniers. I was watching CNN last night, and they had on one of their Trumpy commentators, and he was trying to make some kind of stupid excuse for Trump’s rejection of the report’s conclusions, and I just had to turn it off. Enough already!! I’m an old guy now, but I teach youngish students, in their late teens and early twenties, and I look at them and wonder what their world will be like when they are my age. Not so comfortable. The science at this point is beyond serious argument. Anyone who rejects the science at this point is a dolt. We are supposed to be a smart species. Are we smart enough to see what mistakes we have been making and correct them before disaster is upon us?
