Obama divided this Country more than any President. I believe it was his aim to destroy this Country. He tried in so many ways. When he discovered he couldn’t destroy it, he gave his Muslim handlers billions of dollars to continue fighting against the U.S. . Just like his salesman of Obamacare said…..The American taxpayer is too stupid to know the difference. I believe most of the under fifty generation fits that category. History will show this to be true.
Obama, Holder, Sharpton… they really did wonders for race relations… and in the process really helped America’s African Americans advance and thrive… um… gag.
Because it is Mike Lester I expect his cartoon will demonized people who think. College Professors, the NEA people that drink coffee prepared by others, people that believe Nazis are bad, and of course those Un-American conspirators, people that don’t own guns. But This cartoon makes so little sense that I can’t tell who the villain is.
Yes. What does Mr.Lester have in mind, here? Let us see:
Two cardplayers left in the game. Both of them are white. Both have gone all – in on this hand. One guy (wait for it…) plays the race card. The other guy has 8 consecutive years of an Obama administration.
That is a little ambiguous. But, some speculation: 1. You can’t play a race card in the US anymore (i.e., race has become irrelevant), since we elected a black guy twice for president. 2. I’m coming up with a blank on anything past #1.
With all the big news lately (Trump willfully ignoring facts to provide cover for Saudi Arabia murdering a journalist and legal US Resident, Ivanka using private email in the same manner that had the right screaming for Hillary’s conviction and imprisonment, Trump once again disrespecting the military, the pullback of troops from the border just as the caravan reaches it but after the midterms of course, the stock market starting to feel the effects of Trump’s tariffs and doing a faceplant, etc.), you’d think that lil’ Mikey could find a relevant topic to draw about. Oh well. When you find your positions difficult to support, just create another weak strawman.
The best I can come up with is that Lester’s so tied to The Twit that the incoherence is being channeled along with the hateful politics.
PS: I follow all the political cartoonists on this and other sites, as well as most of the column writers, though some of them get only a paragraph to keep me reading, and often fail.
Mr Lester appears to be arguing that each year of the Obama presidency was as harmful to people in Trump’s constituency as the entire history of American racism was to people of color. Even an old school New England Republican like me can see that this is mind-numbingly ignorant. I doubt this idiocy would even have been taught at Trump University, although it might be part of the curriculum at Kellyanne’s Kollege of alternative Knowledge.
If one is a critical thinker, one cannot become a True Believer (by Eric Hoffer) as so many of our fellow American citizens are. I am thankful this day that my parents believed reading and thinking for one’s self are very important skills in life.

Conservatives do Demonize people who think! Climate Scientists are a Great example. College Professors are a great and frequent target of Leter’s Stereotyping. The people on your side that are capable of independent though have been roused out of your party. To Wit I give you George F Will. Your side of the isle are people that Believe That reducing Taxes ALLAYS increases Tax Revenue ( That Worked out Great for Kansas) and Finland Prevents forest Fires WITH A RAKE You have painted yourselves into an intellectual corner with the Cult of personality worship of an intellectual 10 year old.

One thing is Mike Lester is is a racist. The opening paragraph of his obituary will read:
