    If that’s a true alphabet, that’s a pretty short breakup message. “Have a nice life, Rivka”, something like that.

    What do you mean with alphabet? If a set of sounds: I don’t know of any which was “invented” from scratch, as to my knowledge, all such alphabets were developed from an original system of notional symbols. The oldest known writings certainly used for texting were the script of Egypt and of Sumer (it is still under dispute, which might have been a bit earlier). Both started with symbols resembling “things”, i.e. they are simplified drawings. After some time sb started to use the pronounciation of certain symbols to express meanings which didn’t have a symbol yet. And later on sb started to use the symbols regularly by their phonetic value. So I am very much interested in this theory presented here because it doesn’t match the facts I have known so far.
