She is a shrewd and ruthless opponent, and one of the most despised women in American politics, even within her own party. Yet, she will very likely once again be Speaker. A truly fearsome lady.
Why do you think that she raised so much money? Democrats like and respect her. Republicans are conducting the same kind of hate campaign that Hillary was subjected to for decades. They will do the same kind of thing to any Democrat that looks like a threat to them, but they seem to particularly choose women. Nancy Pelosi is a political genius. She causes the Republicans all kinds of problems when she creates situations that favor Democrats. That is after all, her job. And, that is why Republicans throw mud, even when their logic is as convoluted as Alwayswrongs. After years of mudslinging, people who are not paying much attention to the actual facts believe that she must be doing something wrong if they are hearing so much bad stuff about her. And, people who aren’t paying much attention vote, so Nancy will never be president. However, people in her district will keep electing her, because they are paying enough attention to know the truth, and she will continue to do her job, and pissing off Republicans royally, simply because she is really a good Speaker.
Yes, Lisa, is projecting her and the Republican’s fear of one of the most effective Speakers in recent memory. The fact they are so afraid of her is proof enough she should get the job. They fear her because she can get stuff done!
Wrong Mr. Blawt. I would love for her to be Speaker of the House. She will drive the Democratic Party farther and farther to the left and get rid of anyone who doesn’t tow her line. She will have countless soundbites that provide endless entertainment. She will get very little done but line her pockets rile up the Republicans for the next election .
The “Dems” trying to put in another speaker started poorly by saying “we don’t want Pelosi” without proposing any alternative. Now we discover that the ones against Pelosi are Repub-lite and they want a speaker that is more like a Repub. This would ignore the voters’ wishes – the Dems need to be MORE progressive, not less.
It turns out that Pelosi was explaining that the bill needed to be passed so that people could see for themselves what it was — NOT what Republican LIES that were being told about it.
It turns out that there were NO Obama death panels after all.
It was NOT about abortion.
It turns out that most people KEPT their health plan AND their doctor.

And despite the litany of LIES told by Dag and the other Trump Disciples, it now appears that the American people want the ACA after all.
Maybe Trump Disciples have to lie about EVERY issue because they have nothing to offer.
They still believe that trickle down economics is beneficial to THEM.
They believe that it’s totally smart business to hire illegals and to import ‘legals’ but that has no effect on the amount of immigration.
They believe that climate change is a Chinese hoax.
They believe that The Caravan is an national emergency and that it was organized by Soros and other Jews.
They believe that voter suppression and vote suppression are good things and keep the Wrong People from being elected.
And of course they still believe there was no Russian interference in our elections and no collusion by Trump.
