Volunteered, swore the oath, did six, went to some strange places, annoyed some of the locals, DID NOT have fun, had some busy days, sent some friends home cargo, picked up some stupidly expensive costume jewelry, came home Pullman class, stepped out. The name is from the hobby. My maternal grandfather was a smith and taught me a lot. Never made it an occupation but did a lot of ornamental work for friends. No horses though.
