Love my John Adams; all he wanted to hear from someone were the words that were already in his head! To me, his saving grace was that he was aware of this self-important flaw & beat himself up about it in his writings. He has always been the most human of the Founding Fathers. I gave my oldest son the middle name of Adams.
The more I see of “His Rotundity” the more I want to swipe a tad bit of Thomas Jefferson’s wine…….But don’t mind me. Like Adams, “I’m obnoxious and disliked, it cannot be denied!”
Yet here we are. Amendments can be created and implemented, as long as the idea or goal is very widely approved of.
Be glad we don’t have a simple majority requirement for amending the Constitution. We would have hundreds, possibly thousands of Amendments by now. Whatever was 51% popular….today. Never mind tomorrow, it will change again.
No comic today, but I still plan on 5 for the week, with another Saturday update. Most of the extra time I have for the comic has been put towards helping the midterm election effort, so at least it’s related!

Adams was the only one of the first several Presidents who never owned slaves. Got to give credit where it’s due.
