This is a quote of what Megyn Kelly said, "“But what is racist? Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person who puts on whiteface for Halloween. Back when I was a kid that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character.” Is it racist?
• Ten wrongs by others doesn’t make it right for any-one.
Is this cartoon whataboutism propaganda, or yet another whiny complaint falsely claiming that conservatives are held to a different standard of immorality than non-cons?
Daddy Trump, the libs are picking on me again! It’s just so unfair!
Megyn shows hubris, and f’ed up her career herself through her decisions and actions, but the current storm around her, and her NBC exodus has more to do with those who don’t like her seeing their opportunity to get in some punches than with any ‘racist’ comment.
Blackface is just another form of racism, no matter who does it.
I am sure that if good ole Mike Lester had tried just a tad harder he could have found maybe one or two more blackface conservatives to throw on the right side of the balance.
If he were trying to be fair while accusing all of us of being unfair, that is.
NBC wrongly decided it would be a good idea to hire away from foxnews an established racist, bigot, and homophobe to broaden the spectrum of punditry on NBC. They then decided the viewers of NBC have no relation to the farce presented as foxnews, making the racist, bigot and homophobe Kelly an even worse festering sore than she was at foxnews. This latest racist imagery offered by Megyn Kelly is just another reason why right-wing christian conservative ideology needs to stay on foxnews.
Hey guys, she wasn’t fired because of the “black face” comments. I don’t think anybody really thought they were all that bad.
If you read between the lines a little, it was because she couldn’t get along with any of her co-workers and her ratings were tanking. And, as we all know, ratings are the “live or die” metric of the network news world.
The “blackface” comments were just a convenient excuse in a “straw that broke the camels back” kinda way.
If Kelly made her comments at the time the people listed did it, she wouldn’t have been fired. If she’d said there used to be a time when it seemed ok, because we were ignorant of the toxic history of blackface in white entertainment, she’d be applauded. Everyone on Lester’s list has long since been made aware that it’s offensive & apologized.
Kelly’s history of doubling down on things like ‘Santa is white’ & ‘Jesus is white’ make it clear she’s happy to live in ignorance instead of learning why those are not just wrong, but toxic. It disqualifies her as a news anchor.
And yeah, this incident was just a convenient excuse to send her packing with a $70 million dollar parting gift after tanking in the ratings. We all know there’s only one channel that attracts the sort of viewers who don’t see a problem with her.

Okay… I have to agree with Mike on this one… (did I just say that). But she should not have been fired for her comments.

They had better add Hillary Clinton to that list. She went to a college Halloween party in black face!
