They have suspect in custody for the bombs. I saw that there is to be a presser this afternoon to give more info regarding the suspect. He has many pro trump stickers all over his van and pictures of trump, also a picture of an African American child on a tricycle with a target over it, a picture of Hillary Clinton with a target over it, CNN sucks sticker, etc. Investigators should never lose sight of the most obvious suspects.
We now have to wait, not long, for Trump to announce all those stickers and statements on the suspects van are a “false front” put up by Soros and Dems to cast aspersions on Trump’s years of violent verbalism and assaults on civility.
Yesterday both Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh speechified to insist that conservatives, and Republicans in particular, didn’t bomb. They said it’s always liberals that do it. I remembered that Timothy McVeigh, who committed the bombing of the a federal building a few years back was a registered Republican. That event killed around 170 people and wounded or maimed over 500 more. Then Eric Robert Rudolphs series of bombings in Atlanta were every one in support of elements of his radically conservative ideology… an abortion clinic, a gay nightclub, and a public gathering at the Olympic Games, this last one he said in protest against internationalism and “one-world” ideas. I wonder if they’ll acknowledge today that they were wrong about predicting the perp this time would be a radical liberal? Reports today said the guy was a registered Republican. Of course we know preliminary reports can be in error, but apparently the reporter had checked voter registration records.
I don’t know what the answer is as far as people being more civil with each other, but it appears that education can be helpful as well as travel. “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness and many of our people sorely need it on these accounts.
