Same logic as Lindsey Graham, minus the vitriol…

The problem is that it is easier to try to correct other people’s faults than to correct our own. To change the world, we first must change ourselves.

There’s a Chinese saying: “If everyone swept his own doorstep, the whole world would be clean.” They’ve been thinking a long time.

All comments are so very true. But it is good to remember the Go Comics two week delay and that this is the Brett Kavanaugh arc in disguise.

Brett Kavanaugh. Anyone remember Brett Kavanaugh? There’s a Supreme Court justice named Brett Kavanaugh.

Whose behavior both decades ago and two weeks ago ought to have disqualified him for a position of trust anywhere in government!

And maybe the private sector, as well!

I tell the couples I see for marriage counseling: It’s easy to see what your spouse needs to do to improve; instead look at yourself in the mirror and ask, ‘what would it be like to be married to me?’ As the answer to that sinks in, you’ll know what YOU need to do to make things better. Do it.

Unfortunately too many people have Nikita Khrushchev’s attitude about acknowledging faults. When asked by President Kennedy if he (Khrushchev) ever admitted a mistake, Nikita replied “Certainly I do. In a speech before the 20th Party Congress I admitted all of Stalin’s mistakes.”

For those who cannot acknowledge their mistakes or fail to recognize them that is their ego over their truthfulness.

Matthew 7 is full of the divine wisdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Chriat on this topic.Talks about the beam in your own eye.The warns that sometimes we should not throw pearls befaore swine, acknwoledging that there are still evil people who refuse His teacgings. The ofcourse the Golden rule! He ofcourse tells us gate to salvation is narrow.

    Judging Others.1

a “Stop judging,* that you may not be judged.b2For as you judge, so will you be judged, and the measure with which you measure will be measured out to you.c3Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?4How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove that splinter from your eye,’ while the wooden beam is in your eye?5You hypocrite,* remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter from your brother’s eye.

Pearls Before Swine.6“Do not give what is holy to dogs,* or throw your pearls before swine, lest they trample them underfoot, and turn and tear you to pieces.dThe Answer to Prayers.7the wae “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.f8For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.g9Which one of you would hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf of bread,*10or a snake when he asks for a fish?11If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.h

    The Golden Rule.12

“Do to others whatever you would have them do to you.i This is the law and the prophets.

    The Narrow Gate.13

“Enter through the narrow gate;* for the gate is wide and the road broad that leads to destruction, and those who enter through it are many.j14How narrow the gate and constricted the road that leads to life. And those who find it are few.
