Jeff has it wrong. Taking a knee is not meant to be a political statement. It is done to draw attention to a huge moral and ethical failure in “the land of the free.” More black and brown people have been killed annually and in total than the KKK ever did.
Why is Stahler bringing this up now? Hasn’t it been quite a while since anyone “took a knee” at a football game? Isn’t there any current news worth commenting on?
Oh, darn. The straight white guy was exposed to a protest against police brutality of a minority. Surely there’s counseling for traumatized people like him!
