Go back to sleep, Darrin. The wagon train is safe.

It seem that Darrin is wearing his “plywood” to bed!

Appears to be a new artist on display above the bed. I look forward to seeing more.

That was just a blanket excuse because his wagon was truly draggin’!

He accidentally touched Darla’s head and dreamed he was traveling across the desert, brushing up against cacti.

It had some basis in reality.

When I first looked at Darrin, I thought for a brief moment that there was a pile-up of fat pink bumblebees against the rear wall of his “tent.”

    That would be trouble, indeed!

But no, it’s the fair Darla, sleeping in the discomfort of curlers, just to make herself look glamorous for Darrin the next morning.

(Truth to tell, it doesn’t make her look all that great in the night, though.)

She does like to keep herself up, you know.

Even with curlers in her hair, she’s wearing nice turquoise drop earrings to bed…

the ones Darrin bought her on that trip to New Mexico in ’97.

It’s no wonder he feels compelled to wear trouser stiffeners all night.

    Meanwhile…. yesterday morning ….. and I wish I’d seen it sooner….

Sheriff Monkeyblues, or as he is currently self-titled,

SheRiF (He Jus Luks GiLty) MunkYbluz,

posted, invisibly, here on Ballard Street….

“Gud MournINg feLLo BS CityZens…!!! Ahm HEAr, dont Nose if’n Ya Seas me… o.0”

    Good morning, Monkey!

(Even if it’s going to be the next morning…. sigh…. )

I’m sorry to report that nobody sees you quite yet….

at least, not without visiting your profile.

    But we’re working on it.

BTW… in case some of you have noticed a certain GoComics glitch…. which I wrote about elsewhere, the other night…

One reason I’m late with comments from the Monkey, and miss some from other people,,,,,

is that user’s profile pages, for me, haven’t always been showing their last ten comments, as they always have.

You can see them if you open the profile full screen, on a computer…

but in a smaller window, or on a mobile device, no posts are shown.

I haven’t tested IOS, but it happens in Windows 10 and Android.

You can test it by checking the Monkey’s profile….

    https://www.gocomics.com/profile/2229617

    or your own, of course.

I’m here on my computer at night…. but in the daytime, usually only on my tablet.

So I can’t check my own profile, to help me remember where I posted…. can’t follow anyone…

and can’t see any comments from any of our “invisible friends,” including any “Good morning” greetings,

till I’m back on my computer at night… posting on the next day’s strip.

I’ve been in contact with GoComics about it…. at first they misunderstood and thought I was saying forum comments were invisible….

But yesterday a tech replied that they’d understood my following explanation and opened a “bug” report on it….

So if it’s been “bugging” you, too….. fingers crossed.

His dream of a wagon not covered,

wakes him up with a problem discovered.

He sits up in bed, with what on his head?

It was 5 minutes before he recovered.

I first had this as the last line: And his back-side? A feeling be-quivered!
