Generally that signifies the arrival of – Red Alert, Battle Stations, All hands on deck – and the Mommy Radar going berserk checking every half a min where the baby is.

Our youngest daughter just started scooting on her diaper—‘picked up’ the name ‘Scooter’ ! ! ! !

Uh oh. Best start now putting anything fragile up.

Wait until you see her on a kiddie foot powered car. She’ll only go backward into the furniture! Love this age.

my grandsons used to do the ole “commando crawl”.

My youngest brother first became mobile by rolling. But he could only roll in one direction so he’d get stuck against something and start crying. That was our cue to go over to him, turn him around, and watch him happily roll to a new obstacle.

Scooting and crawling are two different actions.

Both my kids at that age crawled backward at that age.

My grandson crab-crawled and on three, with one leg bent and dragging. The oddest thing to see. He’s three now and still does this when he is very tired and wants to move to another place to fetch a toy on the floor.

My youngest rolled before he crawled, even around corners.

Luci, that’s not exactly “headed.” More like “footed.”
