Well, Maybe, just Maybe, our Commandeer-in-Sheik has finally learned to listen to some of those generals that he is so much smarter than. China’s well poised to take an immediate lead on this sort of thing, and the U.S. military knows it.

China is preparing to put their own footprints on the lunar surface, and they have plenty of launch capability, and a goodly percentage of the current global satellite placement. They recently finished using their own (more advanced) version of Skylab, and are looking to place another, larger station in LEO.

Some things work better in the private sector such as personal, individual choices and preferences, agreements among consenting adults and personal transactions (unless they include deceit, fraud, coercion).

Matters of legitimate PUBLIC interest should be handled as PUBLIC POLICY by “we the people” together, as a community, through our elected officials.

PROgressives understand this. CONservatives get it 100% back-asswards.

Democrats and PROgressives want government that will address legitimate issues of public policy to protect workers and consumers — from invasion, from crime, and yes, from corporate bullies that would dominate them. And yes, that “public health and safety” includes the right not to die because you can’t afford medical care. And we want government to manage and develop our shared PUBLIC environment and infrastructure. But we also want Big Intrusive Government to stay the hell out of our private lives, including private relationships (dictate who you can or can’t marry), private medical choices (reproductive choices, medical marijuana, end of life choices, stem cell therapies) or try to force religion (private) into the public square or subsidize it with special tax giveaways (socialized religion).

Republicans and CONservatives want to get government “off the backs” of corporations and the Wall $treet Bank$ters who collapsed our economy (they hate government for exactly the same reason criminals hate police), but they want Big Intrusive Government to nose its way into the most personal aspects of our private lives.

Taking the Government “Private” would mean ordinary citizens would not have to pay any more taxes, right?

Who the F came up with “Space Force” ? It sounds like the name of a legalized cannabis shop.

“Welcome to Space Force. Can I interest you in some gummies or brownies?”

The buyout of the US government is the biggest deal of the century. While the market remains skeptical this White House will always work with private “pay-for-play” deals. The Traditional trade partners do not support us in our rush to devalue the US and destroy our own deals. Trump has gained from his time in the office by selling off the people’s house to dictators. Only voters can show their approval of Trump selling off America to the highest bidder by voting in the midterms. Trump’s pitch to take Space by Force has the military salivating at the wasteful spending they could do while middle class families start to starve.

No Trump Disciples claiming that privatization is wonderful and how it lowers the deficit to almost nothing?

And how the only alternative is socialism/communism?

    Because, you know, analysis skills.

Biggest giveaways were actually the 1872 Mining Act, Railroad Grant Acts, and Homestead Acts (it was intended to help citizens, but banks ripped many off, like with the Bankhead Jones Act that was supposed to bail out farmers, but only bankers got the receipts.-Sounds just like Trump’s “tariff fix”, which is a fix, for banks.

It has been disturbing since Reagan and Watt to see the attacks on public lands and reources, but Trump administration actions are worse than the combination of ALL previous disposal/destructive actions, railroads, mining, grazing etc. BTW, private grazing land in 1993 in Oregon was $9.75 per Animal unit month, in Nebraska $17 for nonirrigated grazing lands, the federal grazing lands of equal value fee was $1.86, and this bill to save the poor picked on ranchers on pulbic lands down to $1.35. Today, over 90% of grazing on public lands is by corporate ranches, not “mom and pop”, so that cheap grazing, now around $2.30 hasn’t quite kept up with real inflation. Public land grazing IS a CORPORATE giveaway.

Another note, those millions of acres given to the railroads included mineral rights, which is why the western “railroad” companies are all now oil and gas energy companies, and Reagan also made in legal for foreign entities to file mining claims, which is why almost all hard rock mining today in the US is on lands where CANADIAN CORPORATIONS (with US investors) own the claims, and later, patents to total ownership of the TRILLIONS of dollars of resources taken from the taxpayer, essentially for free given the cheap rights to acquisition.

Let me guess, who supervised and sponsored the building of Boulder Dam, the TVA, the Army and Navy in World War 2, and made the Atom bomb among thousands of other successful programs. It could not have been the Federal Government because we all know they have their head completely up their ass.
