Maybe we we had a government of the people, by the people and for the people we would not be at the mercy of a small group of extremists who have entrenched themselves into government and choose not to listen to we the people.

About 1/3 register as Democratic or Republican.
Only 40% of registered voters actually vote.
70% of 33% of 40% is 9%, even doubling that to account for “leaners” means only 18% of eligible voters actually being represented

On Monday, in a court filing, the Donald Trump administration admitted that 463 parents of migrant children may no longer reside in the United States. The revelation indicates that the ‘zero tolerance’ policy has prevented these parents from being reunited with their children and reveals the number of children negatively impacted by the system is higher than previously thought.The parents — nearly one-fifth of the 2,551 migrants whose children were taken from them after crossing the southwest border — were either swiftly deported or somehow left the country without their children, government lawyers said.
The government’s previous estimate of the number of such cases was just 12, though that applied only to parents of the youngest children.
The GOP learned nothing from the internment camps during World War II and what it did to our reputation…… As a government of the People by the people for the people …..they are just not listening to us. Don’t they realize that we are tired of being embarrassed by our government policies????
So, if they are caging the kids in the city pound, are they also euthanizing them if they aren’t adopted by a worthy home after 7 days? OR is that one of those rare “no-kill” shelters?
I’m sure that the holier than thou religionists are happy as a kid stuffed on holy wafers at what their republicans are doing. They voted Trump and they voted republican because they wanted the supreme court and wanted to fix those Hillary loving liberals. It would appear that the lot of them are just the same old hypocrites I learned about when I was a kid and had to go to church. They really don’t care about women’s rights, children or fetuses actually. They just want to exert their sick view of the world on the rest of us.
