If Republicans really want to go there, they’ll need to investigate the vulnerabilities of some of Strzok’s inquisitors on their glass-house committee:
Rep. Scott DesJarlais (R-Tenn.), who needled Strzok about “text messages with your friend.” DesJarlais, according to divorce filings, had multiple extramarital affairs and encouraged his ex-wife and a patient with whom he had an affair to get abortions.
Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who is battling the allegations of former Ohio State wrestlers who said he ignored sexual abuse while coaching there.
Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), who has been under investigation by the House Ethics Committee over payments to a former staffer accused of sexual harassment. Other members of the panel are Rep. Greg Gianforte (R-Mont.), who was sentenced last year to community service and anger-management classes for assaulting a reporter, and Rep. Mark Sanford (R-S.C.), whose infidelity as governor of South Carolina made national headlines.
Scratchy seems to have overlooked the republican politicians caught doing all that and worse and still in office.
“Rightists might do the same, but not as often or as loudly.” conservative/regressives are now being exposed all the time. They do try to keep it hushed up, I’ll agree with that.
If you read the transcript Strozk comes away giving as good as he gets or a little ahead.
But when you watch the exchanges, you come away with a very different impression of his honesty. He did not appear to be honest. His expressions, his tone, the way his answers were crafted, all gave the impression of a man who was utterly contemptuous of the questions, the process and the right of the committee to even question him.
This is why we have juries in court cases. It is why judges instruct juries that they must use their own judgement in deciding if a witness is credible, believable, honest. It is also why judges so frequently refuse jury requests for transcripts of witness statements.
Words matter, but words on paper rarely convey the demeanor of the speaker.
I watched the Colbert show edit. So, righties, defenders of the constitution (supposedly), what is with the chairman trying to deny consultation with the FBI lawyer? Looked like the HUAC hearings under “Tail-Gunner Joe” McCarthy. Complete with sleazy “did you smirk at your wife?” crap.
Well, look who the GOP are colluding with, and protecting. www.businessinsider.com/donald-trumps-ex-wife-once-said-he-kept-a-book-of-hitlers-speeches-by-his-bed-2015-8
The Inspector General, who has no axe to grind, said he has “no confidence” in Strzok, and that Strzok “brought discredit” on himself and “hurt the Bureau’s reputation”. That sums up Strzok’s hero status.

Apparently, Lester didn’t want to draw “The Three Ignoramuses,” ( Gohmert, Gowdy, and Issa ), who put on quite an exhibition of clueless stupidity!

Perhaps Lester would approve of Strzok if he cheated on all three of his wives?

Thanks, Mr. Lester, for throwing in a little ’soft shoe shuffle" — as GOP Ignoramuses continued their “Benghazi!-like” sideshow!
