Waters and Trump are not even in the same universe. Trump actually called for assassination of Hillary. He asked his supporters to punch and throw out demonstrators at his rallies. He has tweeted real mean things and incessant juvenile name calling. Waters was asking her supporters to make their voices heard and protest government policies. And this is after years of brazen lies by Fox, Republicans and trolls on internet, while pursuing harmful and destructive policies . And, frankly, it is the people themselves who have lost civility. Just read some the threads on boards here.

Breen, you are spreading propaganda by claiming equivalence where there is none.

Donnie has NOW Tweeted that he claims the Democrats want to eliminate ALL police. Time for a full mental evaluation before fitting him with the nice white coat with the really long sleeves that fasten together in the back…

By the way…Donnie advocated the MURDER of Hillary during the campaign. That is NOT “the equivalent” of telling someone that you don’t like them working for a despot.

Oh puhleeeeeeeze. Trump’s administration is kidnapping children from their parents to hold them ransom for a wall.

Comparing the Red Hen – where a owner politely ejected someone who has lied over and over again for appalling purposes – to a man who stands AGAINST civility and always has been (right from his initial announcement to run) is simply a false equivalency.

I am very, very tired of the “well, both sides do it!” meme. It simply isn’t true, and it serves the GOP’s intention of moving the Overton Window farther and farther away.

At one time, the John Birch views were considered outside the pale of the GOP. Birch’s views — funded by the Koch brothers — are now mainstream or even conservative within the GOP. They have come out and openly supported the kind of isolationism and anti-immigrant stance associated with the pro-Nazi, isolationist America First organization back before WWII. (Yes, the title of Trump’s policy as “America First” is no accident. His father was a member of the KKK, remember.)

Meanwhile, the most “left” person the Democrats have provided — Bernie Sanders is merely another New Dealer, which used to be the mainstream of the Democratic party, which means IT has moved to the right as well. He’s no socialist, as he claims – he’s a social democrat. He’s about as socialist as Winston Churchill, who strongly supported the development of universal healthcare in the UK (look it up if you don’t believe me).

Claiming that the ACTUAL NAZIs running as part of the GOP are the equivalent of a 78-year-old woman of color who rightly calls out an openly racist political party is simply nonsense.

Maxine Waters says to use WORDS. The owner of Red Hen POLITELY asked SHS to leave. If you want to include the latter as hurting civility, then where are all of those on the Trump side trying to claim “religious principles” while they discriminate against LGBTQ and women that want birth control or Mifepristone?

Trump has openly promoted violence. He invited that vile POS Nugent to the White House after Nugent’s constant calls for violence. There isn’t a comparison between the two sides especially since the Maxine Waters / Red Hen side is a REACTION to the Trump side. Tired of the call for Dems to be tolerant; that is why the RWNJs keep pushing harder.

Here’s the problem with this whole thing: Trump say a few mean things and the left loses its mind. However, when the left in general says a LOT of vile things AND riots AND causes property damage AND protests with profanity AND trashes cities, well, I can’t say there’s much honor there.

The left is leaderless.

Now bring on the name calling and the “Yeah, but the right is bad too!” The viciousness of the left can’t compare with anything Trump has said or done.

We need to alert the public about these riots and trashed cities! Where? When? No one has reported this yet! Are Fox and Sinclair and Hannity in on it too! Should we consider marshal law?

The right instigates violence and our own President calls entire groups of people animals. Children are deliberately being treated cruelly as a "deterrent ". Voices on the right call for actually shooting journalists – and so it happens! And much much more.But the left is expected to just put up with it in the name of tolerance. Again and again. So, when the left FINALLY gets fed up enough to angrily shout “enough!” and advocate the use of WORDS to fight back – the right calls this inciting violence and being uncivil. The side are NOT equivalent!

Comparing Waters one statement to year after year of insults and invective from vicious Trump and the thieving republicans is not very effective.

So Dems are supposed to lay back and take every disgustuing thing the republican kidnappers throw at them?

Use Trump tactics, double down and fight the losers harder.

A US president is the embodiment of the American ideology — a composite of all beliefs — while the resident is very partisan and advocates an unpopular, anti-establishment, extremist ideology which embodies hate and discrimination. Waters is a representative of a district, not a nation.

This is supposed to be the leader of the US but he is a bully that is inciting violence and constantly telling lies to support that violence. Now he says that Dems want to eliminate the police.

The protests are in REACTION to vile Trump. LOVELANDCLAY wants to complain about vulgarity but defends Trump. A woman is killed by the white supremacists that are protesting to retain symbols of traitors and Trump calls them “good people”.

Bad guys on both sides? More like the C is cracked and Trump has smashed through the “ility”

but sure, Waters responding to his attacks are just as bad as the initial attack. And Caging children isn’t as bad as a restaurant kicking out a klanswoman? And what about the baker who won’t bake a cake for people he doesn’t like?

Both sides, the Nazis and the ones they run over are bad guys, right?
