I am of two minds about this situation. It’s seems wrong to harass people in restaurants or going about their lives. But, on the other hand decisions and actions have consequences. Choosing to make yourself a public political figure means that you opened the door for the public to scrutinize your behavior and actions.
A public servant should serve the public not just a select 1/3. To attempt to exclusively govern for an extreme ideology in not defined anywhere in the US Constitution. Compromise and cooperation were not intended to be forbidden.
Great toon! So funny to see WH cabinet members sad about yelling and refusal to serve at restaurants. For those of us who lived through the Civil Rights era and the Vietnam War era, protests can be much more intense than that! It doesn’t take the place of voting, but protests are a big part of political expression in this country.
The saddest part of this caricature is that she is asking to be left alone while she and her ilk are eating our Democracy. Once that species is extinct, THEN will the public pay attention?
How many times during his campaign did Trump Advocate violence against his presidential opponent candidate…. And he is still advocating violence, against reporters, against brown people, against black people, against people who don’t clap for his speeches, against anyone who doesn’t stand up and cheer when he walks into the room. Our commander-in-chief has been advocating violence against all others, most especially them damn lib’ralz since the beginning of his campaign. Being heckled is not violence!!! Being beat up, which he encouraged… being shot, which he encouraged…. being killed, which he encouraged……?? now that’s violence!!!!!
Despicable – but nothing from the left suprises me anymore, and especially from Bennett. I cannot believe that the left thinks this is acceptable, all talk but no morals.
