The DNC needs to find a candidate who will work and criss-cross the country and go to N.Y, Tx and California but you need to go to Midwest if you don’t you will lose.

Ideally, the president should not be a Democrat or Republican but an enabler working in behalf of we the people. Can that happen in a “I’m right, you’re wrong (and stupid)”, binary opposing party system?

Sadly, I am afraid this is the game plan.

People complain about the “two-party-system,” but something has been bothering me more lately.

I commented on Monday on Prickly City how California has come up with this bizarre primary process in which the candidates on the November ballot are not necessarily the leading candidates of the two parties, but merely the top two vote getters from the primary.

As in, and as many Democrats fear this year, a Republican party running only two candidates vs. a Democratic party slate full of candidates may result in two Republican candidates on this fall’s ballot, even in heavily Democratic strongholds!

(Others pointed out that the reverse has already happened in past elections)

My point is this: Whether we like the two party system or not, it appears that attempts to correct the flaws of the two party system often result in a one party system!

    BEWARE!

Now that one high-ranking Republican has resigned in disgrace (after repeatedly calling the investigations into his contemptible behavior a “witch hunt”), could there be another one? Although, there are obvious differences. Former governor Greitens (of Missouri, natch!) was a former Navy SEAL. The current occupant of the White House is a beached whale.

Then again those blasted Progressives might campaign and then pursue legislation that ends the GOP’s War on Children: The one which takes the forms of ruining the environment and thus through climate change the world, cutting taxes so national needs are ignored and the quality of life becomes increasingly dystopian, privatizing everything short of air, and moving the nation evermore to accepting the many and various hates and fears that go with “White Supremacy”— which is simply how we pronounce “Ethnic Cleansing” in America.

A lot of people like to say they don’t know what the Democratic party stands for, they are called Republicans. The Democrats do have a progressive platform with solutions for all Americans. They still need to inspire people to vote, if everyone stays home (or are turned away from the polls) we’ll just elect more Trumps.
