    That’s the thing about Trace….

He pushes into situations where he’s neither involved nor invited….

like stalking Lila (as I see it) in her apartment building,

and having the nerve to ask Dr. Fine to pay his way to Edinburgh so he could go to the Fleming Institute with Lila and Annie.

And, as he does today, he tries to change the direction of every conversation,

unless it’s already about how everything relates to him.

I’m not saying Matthew is so great for Lila….

but Trace is untrustworthy, and not entirely honest…

he’s a sneaky drama queen who isn’t a good choice either.

Lila doesn’t advocate violence? Just try to keep her out of the lounge during Happy Hour!

The question becomes not what but why. Annie recognized the kid as a snot-nosed bullying brat, and gave him something to think about (defenseless-looking cancer patients might no be so defenseless, and if they are tough enough to go through that, well, what do you expect?). I was athsmatic before it became commonplace and went through a lot of bullying. I’ll bet that it’s not the first time she got this from him, and now he’ll have to think twice. No, I do NOT believe in unagressed violence, but sometimes it becomes necessary to add appropriate punctuation to your statements.

It is hard to find the optimum person. Most have to chose or chose to be alone.

You don’t advocate PHYSICAL violence, Lila.

    Give it up, Trace.

    This is about Annie.

In the 50’s and early 60’ this was how we settled bullying, actually the teachers would not jump in your case if you were the picked on child and you stood your ground. Thanks to the media blitz after Columbine, this may not be optimal.
