She evaded saying what she would do if a president ordered her to use torture. She said instead that she didn’t think President Trump would do that, when there are videotapes of him saying he’d use waterboarding, and worse.
Well, she could always be considered for the NEXT Press Secretary… she deflects, waffles and LIES almost as well as The Spiceweasel, Kellyanne of Green Goebbels, or Jabba the Hucksterbeast!
Forrest Gump would say evil is as evil does . We definitely have a problem with our Administrations use of questioning techniques that are considered torture by other civilized first world countries. It’s just one more shame that we can add to our history of Shame. Giving an evil person absolute evil control over a governmental Department that is not known for its honorable actions is bound to bring about the same types of abuses once again. Hitler would be so proud of her!!!!
I find it interesting how Democrats get all high and mighty about Trump nominating someone who supported and engaged in torture during the Bush Administration seeing as how that same nominee was a part of the CIA throughout the Obama Administration. Why was there not a big stink about her during Obama’s Administration. If what she did was so wrong, surely she should have been prosecuted or at least ousted long before Obama left office.
ANDYLIT, your use of real kidnappings that you twist with the ridiculous “torture is OK o find the victims” is sick and dishonest. The three examples do NOT fit your torture scenario. Barbara Mackle was found unharmed, Dairyland Elementary School kidnapping victims escaped and Stephen B. Small unfortunately was asphyxiated within three hours. All of these cases were solved with REAL police work that didn’t involve torture.

Gina said torture wouldn’t be used anymore, but Donnie really likes the idea so count on it being used at some point.

I love the label on the pitcher. We are devolving. Of course all those loving Christians are all for torture. Torquemada is their hero.

Not to make light of the subject but doesn’t Donnie torture us every time he opens his mouth?

Good to see my Senators Dianne and Kamala not just tossing softballs.

It’s hard to believe that someone who engaged in torture would ever be considered for a cabinet position.

If she ever wants to leave government work (PLEASE leave government work!!) she’ll do well as a tap-dancer. Never seen anyone tap faster than Gina.

Two thoughts on the effectiveness of torture:
1- most innocent people would say whatever they thought the torturer wanted to hear if it would stop the torture.
2- if a person was willing to strap on a bomb and blow themselves up, would the break under torture?

Dems asking that question intend to vote no regardless of her answers. It is a farce.

The USA normally does not condone torture because we do not want our captured soldiers to be tortured.
GW Bush’s orders to torture went against Geneva Conventions and he can be arrested as a War Criminal in certain countries.

I don’t care how much experience this woman has in the operations of the CIA. She isn’t fit to be the head of it.
