There’s a place in the Empire State where you can go with your single socks and trade one for another to eventually get matches. It’s called “The New York Sock Exchange.”
I got sick of losing socks, so one day I tried washing my socks in the sink while I put the rest of the laundry in the washer. When the machine finished I opened it and was EMPTY! Except for a note printed in laundry marker on a handkerchief: “Stop trifling with the laws of nature and bring the machine MORE SOCKS!!!”

Joanne Worley tried to join this outfit but they had to kick her out – she just kept saying sock it to me!

Honestly, does this really happen? In over 5 decades with at least 5 dryers this has never happened tome.

My teenage daughter doesn’t care if they match. And I’m picking up that habit now, but I wear boots, so nobody sees them.

I only ever wear black socks, so I don’t know if I am wearing matched ones or not.
