He deserves this, but probably won’t get it due to his advanced age. I really hope he gets time in a real prison, though.

Cosby can join Harvey Weinstein, Matt Lauer and Charlie Rose in the halls of disgrace. Just save some room for the biggest serial predator of all — the illegitimate occupant of the White House who thinks that being a “star” gives him the right to grab whoever or whatever he wants.

    Jell-o pudding? They’re PUDDING him in JAIL-O

With all the appeals and delays Cosby will be dead before he goes to jail. Besides where are they going to send an 80 year old blind prisoner?

How many others have been sentenced to prison? Any? I can’t recall any.

So the idea that the Black guy deserves to go to prison when the White guys walk away just plain bothers me. It fits the standard pattern all too well.

Will all those “ruined” lives be better now? So the “wave” of social justice took down an old man.. congratulations on your win.

why are prison rape jokes acceptable? granted, there is irony / poetic justice but still – rape isn’t funny.

@MAIRI That is an excellent point. I confess I hadn’t thought about it just those terms. However, it must be said that Mr. Cosby has yet to be sentenced, so while he faces the possibility of a long prison term, that is, as yet and given his age and failing health, not a certainty. But that poses, or sort of dodges, the question, regardless of race, whether he should be sentenced lightly because others have not although their offences may certainly have warranted it, again regardless of race. And I also concede that the race issue also troubles me. But it is a point worthy of thought. Thank you.

I’m a huge fan of old movies. The ones that are just telling a story offer interesting insights into their times. I’ve noticed that, in a lot of them, Ralph Kramden-type male characters who have “lord of the manor” pretensions but no actual servants turn their wives into that missing servant. She serves him his meals like a footman, answers the door like a butler and cares for his person like a valet. Fast forward to today. I believe that, since in our society men can’t actually enslave or indenture women, they make sexual-type advances on women who come within their business circle as the last vestige of lord-of-the-manor-ness. I can’t think of another reason why otherwise sane men would behave in such a way. And as to women who “put themselves in a position” (PLEASE notice the quotes) — whether it was to be abused or to use their sexuality for their own purposes — what happened to the real men who recognized that your own integrity does not depend on what others do?

For all the good and worthwhile things Bill did, he allowed himself to get caught up in temptations of the flesh. (Query, Mistresses and such are not uncommon in other societies. Is this a reflection of the religious repressions of American society?)

As to the depiction in the Toon. How is the current American system of incarceration ever going to rehabilitate and/or instruct a person to become a positive member of society?
