This is like that recent thing about a petition to change Halloween to the last Saturday in October. Whoever started that petition apparently didn’t realize it’s not a federal holiday in any way, shape, or form. There is no one to give that petition to who could do anything.

Now all these babysitters are gone. That loon Miller is his right-hand man, and Mulvaney is his enabler.

Watterson occasionally forgot how often Calvin plotted really mean things to do to Susie, who never did a mean thing to him (first).

Student government is utter nonsense. Just a way for narcissistic twits to get a taste of politics.

Yeah, I always had problems with dizziness caused by the carousel. But I never threw up because of one.

That’s what I wonder about all these downer strips that Pastis does. He seems awfully depressed for someone who has a highly-coveted and decently paid job, and who also lives in California. He ought to try living in Texas for a full year. Then he’d really appreciate California.

It’s true he was a cat enthusiast, but he did think well of dogs, too. See the part in “The Mysterious Stranger” (first published version) about the abused dog.

Pelosi has explained to John Dean what her reasoning is, and he thinks it’s wise (see his Twitter account). Dean did not reveal what she told him, though. For myself, I am concerned that Drumpf will “pull a Nixon” and resign, having made a deal with Pence to pardon him. Most likely Pelosi thinks this as well, as she reportedly said she wanted him in prison (presumably on federal charges) rather than impeached. That would not happen if he pulls a Nixon, at least at the federal level. The best they could do then would be to rely on the states to go after him, and there’s a good chance they would not (except New York, possibly,).

This is why the Nixon blanket, pre-indictment pardon should have been challenged. It is frankly absurd to pardon a person who hasn’t even been indicted yet. We’re still living with the results of a precedent that should never have been set.

The elephant’s tablet should read “greed” and the sash should read “moral hypocrisy.”

Now we have Perry in a job he’s totally unqualified for (he only has an agricultural degree), and Cruz is STILL in the Senate! At least we’re rid of the other 3 useless ones.
