While ‘hyperbole’ is an important device for editorial cartoonists, many times Ramirez overestimates his perceptive skills! [ And, this is one of them! ]
Trump has made America great again by making it safe for racists. Usually using the bathroom while black is punishable by death – those men should be thankful right?
NotJohnLocke’s comment is utterly hilarious, given the disintegrating state of American Conservatism. The extremists in any position always go after the less extreme. There is no difference between left and right in that regard.
I.The detail in this cartoon is exquisite. From the price list to the barrel of apples, right down to the gleam on the glass of the pastry display. He must have spent hours on this.
II.Then, he puts in captions that make no sense. I’m trying to figure out what point Ramirez is making, and I’m not getting there. I know about the Philadelphia news: that’s not the problem.
III.The only possible syllogism I can detect is: “White guy orders coffee with no white liquid in it and barista calls cops” just like “Black guy orders coffee with no black liquid in it and barista calls cops”. But that’s inane.
IV.The only possible conclusion that I can come to is that Ramirez has always really wanted to draw a picture with Starbucks in it, and this week, he got his opportunity.
Its so weird seeing Ramirez defend corporations when it comes to the tax code, but any corporation that has bad employees is punished as a whole. I’ve never seen him draw any cartoons depicting BOA or any other mega corporation in such a manner.
JLOCKE, there are people protesting against Starbucks, but this does not constitute “the Left”. Per witnesses, the incident was racist, but the blame has to go to the manager, not the entire company. There are too many people of every political viewpoint that over=react and it gets blown out of proportion because of social media.

Why are they calling the police on the white guy? He does not look black, mexican or homeless.

A regular black coffee at Fourbuck is a crime. This whole thing was a planned set up.

I love the artwork. Too bad the comic is so dishonest.

The average person spends $1800 on Starbucks a year. I spend $250 on good coffee made at home. Nobody has thrown me out of my kitchen, yet.
