It isn’t the sheriff. It’s Deputy Dawg.

Howard and Rusty love playing horsey! Of course Howard is too big to be the rider, and the horse mask doesn’t fit Rusty. Anyway it is always appreciated when Gwen expresses her admiration!

    Howdy Cleo pals… puzzle people… internet travellers…

Time for the Saturday “Find the Nine Differences” Puzzle …

in the Nov th  2020 “CLEO and COMPANY” on Sherpa

Sorry I’m late to dinner… I got here a little late, but discovered I had a file mix up….

and I had to make and upload a new side by side.

Sure hope there’s no problem with anybody seeing it this time… please let me know!

You’ll WANT a side by side for this one… as Dennis says… it’s messy.

Here you go… fresh off the presses:

    Now I have a question for you….

Would YOU let Cleo anywhere near your Thanksgiving turkey… or any roast ANYTHING…

even a cauliflower, if you were wanting to eat it… with a chainsaw??

    No?

    I didn’t think so!

But Clara did… and now they act surprised??

I can only hope that in the next panel…. off-screen to the right…

There’s at least a big red “Confound it, Cleo!”

We probably can’t hope for more.

    I’d suggest juvenile hall….

but then again… it’s not totally Cleo’s fault.

The caption clearly states that Clara LET Cleo carve the turkey.

There goes the case… thrown right out of court.

Kinda like why you shouldn’t go to bed and leave your car keys hanging on the kitchen key rack… especially when your cousin’s nephew is visiting.

Anyhow… I admit… no, it doesn’t take an hour to make a new side by side.

As I said, I was already late… and there were other complications.

    But it was almost-but-not-quite funny….

when I discovered that the link I’d saved to my first version actually shows the solution.

Good thing I caught that before I posted it!

I’ll be posting it later… as the solution.

    Meanwhile… solve away!

Just watch out for flying turkey!

A friend of ours, Ludwig Frank, usually carves great wooden sculptures with a chainsaw. Methinks Clara had something similar in mind.

OK; got them. The last one was a bit tricky – as always.

I leave the puns for later because there would be spoilers.

Did the smoke from that chainsaw make everything taste better? Also, is the tenth difference that we make comments on 11-22-10 instead of 11-21-10 like it says under the puzzle?

    Yawn…..

I guess it’s time to post my solution…. hope you don’t mind that it got mashed potatoes and bits of turkey on it.

You HAVE all tried your best, right?

And checked all over for unexpected differences?

I kinda miss seeing a gif of this one… it might look pretty amusing.

But… here’s my non-animated solution… don’t peek til you’re ready, or I’ll make sure Cleo spatters you with food!

BTW… as part of the file trouble I was having… the solution is labelled like the puzzle.

Never mind… it says nine differences but it’s the solution.

In the unlikely event you save them like I do… you can just change the titles.

    https://i.postimg.cc/x8X66L7F/Cleo-nine-differences-Nov-21st-2020.jpg

    Hope you found them all!

    Meanwhile….

A little bird posted on another comic that it was Saucy1121’s birthday!

    Is that true?

    If so… Happy Birthday, Saucy!

Free dinner and drinks for you at the Tiki!

and a round for everyone to raise a toast.

If this is the wrong date let me know and I’ll correct it.

    Don’t forget, everybody…

Come back here to comment on Sunday’s strip as well.

Good morning, Ballardeers, and Haps Birfday Saucy1121 and Knightman! Q Date: 253.98489.9 Sun’s out

Oh good. Eric Clapton hasn’t been here yet… The sheriff is still around.

    the correct solution!

    https://i.postimg.cc/DfCx0wJC/Cleo-solution-Nov-21st-2020.jpg

Thanks for the heads up, Tigressy.

Unfortunately, I didn’t realise any of this was happening till I got here tonight…

that the side by side was the wrong file, and I somehow hadn’t uploaded the solution.

Usually I’ve uploaded both and saved the links well ahead of time.

This week was a comedy of errors…. only not all that funny.

    Maybe tomorrow I’ll chuckle…. sigh….

Honestly, should anyone be surprised at Cleo’s choice of carving tool? I say “NO.” This guarantees all the food lands on the floor where Cleo – and no one else – will be happy to chow down. Entirely predictable behavior for Her Majesty.

A special Thanksgiving post for the season:

    http://www.comicssherpa.com/site/feature?uc_comic=cscwy

Not politically correct, but neither is the original Thanksgiving story. Take it with a grain of kibble and enjoy the many jokes it contains.
