Just as the “war to end wars” failed, so too will the concept of using violence to end violence completely fail. A divided nation cannot solve a problem that requires deliberation, cooperation, compromise, respect and trust.
Hey, Lester; Criminals also include those who would support and allow military grade weapons to be manufactured, sold, and then used by civilians who actually have absolutely no reason to have such a weapon unless they are intent in killing the people around them. Military style.
Mr. Lester seems to be of the opinion that public gun battles (with the collateral shooting of bystanders) is preferable to keeping guns away form people who should not have them.
I assume Mr. Lester is not an actual criminal, convicted or otherwise. Does he think that gun ownership is acutally necessary to keep law abiding folks from violence in the street?
If this is correct, the simple answer would be stop making guns so easy to purchase. Those guys in the arena don’t look law abiding they are attacking each other. This would be worse if they had guns. Those criminals are just sitting there. I guess this works on the NRA base.
Interesting comments and for the most part an honest search for answers. This has become blood sport hence the “dog fight arena” metaphor. But the only people fighting are the people pictured in the pit who represent people on this and a thousand other posst: people who don’t like guns want them even more regulated and those that own them lawfully. But those guys in the stands? They don’t obey laws so they obviously are pulling for more gun control. It’s just commons sense.
My own beliefs are: automatic weapons have been illegal since 94 so please know the jargon. Every other weapon is a semi- automatic meaning on pull of the triger = one bullet. And large capacity magazines shouldn’t be available w/out special circumstances. And teachers have got enough on their plate w/out pressuring them to “carry”. In fact NOBODY should carry or own a gun if they’re not comfortable.
But if the gun control guys win the dog fight, they still have to get to their cars in the parking lot outside. And the criminals will know they are unarmed.
I belong to the NRA, but I don’t support ALL of the organization’s political pronouncements. Likewise I’m usually right of center, but I don’t always vote Republican. I don’t like Trump, but I’m downright appalled by the hatred radiated by his detractors. My point is most of us hold a spectrum of views and opinions on issues. We used to at least listen to each other. When it comes to guns, I support the Second Amendment, but guns are subject to regulation, and I see no reason why additional public safety regulations cannot be imposed; we CAN be reasonable. Let’s also enforce existing regulations, and recognize that anyone insistent on illegally obtaining a gun will ignore the regulations. I legally conceal carry hand guns for protection against common thugs. I do not own a semi-automatic rifle, but I would consider buying one if the current level of political hatred and civil unrest gets much higher.

So it says that Law Abiding Citizens are unarmed while all the armed ones are criminals? I agree with that!

I notice the guy selling guns to the criminals. Maybe if he were out of the picture things would improve.

…and the one guy in the stands is doing a superb job collecting the weapons from the criminals.

Interesting that nobody in either group is labelled “illegal aliens”.

Is Mr. Lester expressing his opinion that ‘law-abiding citizens’ love senseless violence? Seems so!

All Lester has to do is put the word “guns” in his incomprehensible cartoon and his three supporters begin to drool.

Gee Thanks Chev.James, I wouldn’t have known that if you hadn’t pointed that out. You study with Alex Jones maybe?
