Just yesterday, on a site where I had forgotten my password, it sent me a temp one via email and, after I entered it, got a mandatory “Change Password” screen. I followed all its rules 3 times only to have it reject them. In desperation, I added a “1” to the temporary one they had sent me. Success…

4 words of random letters seems to work really well.
