So true today. A parent can’t correct a childs behavior without being accused of child abuse. This NEVER would have happened when I was growing up.

I was wondering when that would come. When I babysat as a teen, I had the parents’ blessing if the kids acted up. I never had to, but I did smack little hands that reached for the stovetop!

Sigh We used to get “abused” on the way home if we screwed up. Then it was Dad’s turn.

Just keep walking, Len…you’ve got enough on your plate already than to deal with a lady that doesn’t understand what the word “abuse” is supposed to mean.

Here we go. Sometimes a parent has to apply a light tap to the butt to get their kid’s attention. It’s like a startle reflex.

This is the same woman who would be complaining about the unruly child if she were just being normal little girl noisy. You can’t please a meddler.

Part of the reason I lost my children into the system was because I was scared to discipline them. For this reason they did as they pleased and blamed me when things went wrong. :(

Let’s see: did he lay a hand on her? Not unless you count taking her by the hand to lead her away. Did he say anything other than she was in time out, and that the consequence was to (shudder) leave the pool? Egads. If that’s what Ms. Self-Righteous calls abuse…
