Currently reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with my daughter. Naturally then Dolores Umbridge immediately comes to mind when it comes to the Mayor in today’s comic.
OK, our beloved Mayor has now officially gone over the top. In the past, her innuendos and thinly veiled comments could conceivably have been taken more than one way. But this . . . she has lost the support of the entire Police Dept. and clarified that she is either very stupid (not likely) or extremely self-centered.
Is it just me or does or Armstrong look like she’s been hitting the Nutri-System lately?
The funny thing is that on an everyday basis, a jogger getting pushed into traffic wouldn’t garner this kind of attention as much as the chief of detectives being kidnapped.
If this career doesn’t pan out for Wendy Wichel im SURE that CNN would gladly pick up her contract

Besides Bribery and us readers, no one knows that these two seemingly unrelated stories are in fact connected! (That is, Bribery pushed the jogger, and not only put the hit on Tracy but approved his manner of execution.)
When Bribery finds out Miss Piggy put out an order for him to be arrested and on the six pm news, she might be the next shrunken head. Hope so! I’ve always detested her and Wendy, as well. I think Mike and Joe showcase her every so often just to give me indigestion!
Now, is it possible that T-Bolt has not heard about the incident with the woman being pushed, which occurred in the area and at the time that Bribery was jogging? Maybe Bribery sent her out of town on an errand immediately after that…
Mayor Armstrong is not even trying to hide her deep antipathy for the Chief of Detectives. Under such circumstances, I would expect her to fire Tracy or shut up, whichever seems more politically profitable. Meanwhile, she is demanding that Chief Patton produce the Jogger-Pusher in time for the evening newscast?! Why not just demand that all crime end at once? Cease and desist! We Order it!
