I have to admit, I was fooled. I’m a child of the 60’s and witnessed the civil rights movement and women’s movement. Great strides were made and the progress was forward. We were “getting there.” I thought that racism, sexism and the other -isms were, if not dead, at least no longer socially-acceptable.
Now they seem to have made a comeback. It’s fashionable to be insensitive to, or actually hate other human beings because of race, gender, religion, country of origin, their native language or any number of thought-up, artificial discriminators. This example is being set from the very top of our Government.
“That gold should rust, what will iron do?” – Canterbury Tales.
Let’s make January 2018 national make your complaint or shut up day. I realize the climate has changed. In 1960, even 1980 a woman making a complaint against her boss or even a co-worker was more likely to get fired, or have problems on the job than he was. But, that is no longer the case. So, In January, let’s all make our complaints, get it out of the way, put guys on notice, and when something happens that we want to complain about, you have a month to complain, unless you are under 18 in which case you have until you are 18 plus a month, then, if you haven’t been sufficiently offended to complain within a month, SHUTUP.
In the movie industry, all aspiring actresses knew about the casting couch before they applied for the jobs. They applied anyway, so there was consent.
I’m writing a book: “101 Reasons I am Glad I’m not a Girl” – Number one is urinating while standing up: the world is your bathroom. Number 101 is not having to find a bag to match my shoes. In between are 99 other reasons, some humorous, some trivial and some dead serious – this falls in the later category. Actually there are a lot more than 99 more reasons.
To women, don’t take this the wrong way – thanks for being there but I’m glad I am not one of you. It’s a lot easier living on this side, and I am smart enough to know it.

They should have gone home to Kansas and spent the rest of their life being groped in private industry.

The Republicans are still in charge, they’ll reach another new low. Is it great, yet?

I don’t know what’s wrong with sexual harassment; everybody’s doing it.
