She’d better hope it’s a ladies’ steam room.

I’m remembering a play and a short-lived TV series, probably early 1970s, in which the afterlife was a steambath. The actors only wore towels.

Well, it could’ve been a sauna.

1- NANCY circa 2050: The scientists tried to warn us some 30+ years ago…

2- …but His Supreme Excellency The Most Masterful Stable Genius And President For Life didn’t believe we needed to take care of the planet…

3- …and when the moon was discovered to be nothing but a big ball of coal under the dust, he declared it his property and ordered the Space Force to devote their efforts to bringing it all back to earth.

4- I guess it’s not all bad though. What with everything now being powered by moon coal by edict of H.S.E.T.M.M.S.G.A.P.F.L., even cars, those troublesome Californians don’t have enough stamina to be a problem anymore. PLUS! No one can see how badly I’ve aged.

“Huh. The fog’s warmer all of a sudden, and it smells like people. This is just like that wading pool last week.”

Not sure I can think of an appropriate comment – seems like this would’ve been controversial when it was first printed!

I don’t think Nancy would look good in a steam room.

    Fritzi, OTOH…
