I think Dottie is finally learning the importance of responsible reporting. Also, she might have realized that she has been used.

Dottie may be called “chief”, but in name only now. Since she was tied up with the trial she didn’t approve the copy that went to press in “The Daily Fang”… I doubt that was the name that Dottie chose for her anti-prejudice newspaper. Kudos to those who accurately called it that Fairweather would be targeted as a traitor.

Aaron is adeptly capturing the anti-negro prejudice of the 1950s and 60s in the US. What Aaron’s story line has yet to reveal is who are behind the stoking of prejudice and violence and to what end.

Power is what the end will bring, either that or total mayhem and final destruction of the survivors.

okay, at this point that is officially illegal. Freedom of Speech and the press is a thing and all, but your rag is officially inciting violence AND making libelous claims, congratulations, you are officially a terrorist organization!

This reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode “A Small Talent for War” in which aliens threaten to destroy Earth unless everyone shapes up. The aliens said Earth had a “small talent for war”, and the nations worked out a global peace treaty and were so proud of it, but totally missed the point. The aliens wanted warriors. Likewise, Dottie’s staff totally missed the point and are so proud of what they’ve done, while Dottie wanted peace.

Dottie: “I should have seen this coming. And sold off all that property I have next to the dance hall…”

Anybody else finding this whole story arc getting very very uncomfortable?
