Looks like Audrey stayed away from water a little too long…or didn’t get enough of it during her growing years.

Um, I think that wisdom applies to drinking water, but if you find this approach stimulating to your brain cells, go for it!

Boy, we could use some overhead water here right now….

I know it would be therapeutic…. not just to my head, but to the whole area….

    Quite a day.

I want to thank those who posted for or about me on yesterday’s strip…

let’s see, in order of appearance…. Happy, JP Steve, Rose, x_Tech and Mr. Sherman…

plus anybody I missed or who sent good thoughts my way, silently or otherwise.

Thank you so much for your concern….

    I’m OK.

For those who don’t know, I live in Santa Rosa CA, the northern part of which has been devastated over the last 24 hours by uncontrollable fires….

hundreds of homes and businesses destroyed in a few hours… whole neighborhoods gone.

A big K-Mart, Trader Joe’s, restaurants, all ashes, and two hospitals evacuated.

Smoke is everywhere; stores are closed because so many employees can’t come in.

Luckily, for me, anyway, I live about 7 miles south of the current fire line….

but though they’re starting to get a handle on it, the fire is still uncontained.

So far the winds are blowing north and east, which is expected to continue…. and that has kept it away from the middle of town, and farther south.

Worse… I wanted to come here earlier to say this stuff,

but I just spent a few hours on the phone with a close friend,

who told me tonight that her house had unexpectedly burned down, far from the fire, but quite possibly ignited by embers on the wind.

    As I said… quite a day.

Isn’t this a form of torture in some places?

Nothing like a good brainwashing to clear your mind.

    @SUSANSUNSHINE

I forgot to mention ( and so did Munky) don’t worry about the Tiki Now that both the SHERIF and myself are back in town, we can keep things going until you can get back, safe and sound. Fenton and Fireman are more than competent and capable… and I can keep an eye ( actually both eyes, now ) the Little Monkeys and make sure we’re always well stocked with potent potables, comestibles & digestibles.

Stay safe ! We all here for you.
