What scares me more is the people I’d thought were intelligent that are defending him despite all the evidence, from his entire history, the primaries, long before they voted for the creep.

Actually, I think further bashing of trump’s base is ill advised and counterproductive. Not that they are worthy of any praise or support. Instead, we need to move forward, and if they can’t keep up, we have to help them. They, too, are fully American. Their mentally ill leader speaks to their madness. But why inflame the situation by insulting them? I know it’s tempting, believe me. But they aren’t worth insult. Instead, let’s criticize the actions and the speech and try to stay positive. That’s my Pollyanna thought for the day.

The third Mrs. Trump has more class in her little finger than Donnie has in his entire body; and she’s still not a ‘classy’ person! It takes far more than money and power to be a class act!

And to SHOPPERSMITHS and others of it’s ilk who constantly harp on "left-wing hate… Shop, it’s not “hate”; it’s total and utter disgust! You actually have to ‘care’ about the person you’re hating, like your kind ‘cared’ for Obama. Donnie and his minions are beneath contempt – they are something a person finds on the bottom of his shoe after a woodland walk! We don’t HATE.

Liar Trump’s racist admin has been in office for 9 months and already the whiny right wingers are tired of the criticism. I got news for you, the resistance against the incompetent and thieving Republicans is growing everyday.

As a resident of the City of New York, I learned to dislike Trump long before the election and The Apprentice. To New Yorkers, he is a bad landlord, who turns the heat off in winter to chisel a few bucks. The jerk who stiffs small contractors. The joke on Wall Street, when he would issue new bonds was, “Is there a rating lower than junk?” Trump is/was a spoiled trust fund baby and tabloid goof. When I see people out in middle-America treat him like some kind of folk hero all I can think is “You small town people totally bought the snake oil from the big city conman.”

The people in the truck are farmers. They feed us, and livestock husbandry is not an easy profession. I wonder why the artist felt obliged to depict them as inferior creatures, which is a mistake both morally and politically. Mr Trump’s base is angry and gullible, and my sense is that he is quite frightened of them.

I would also submit that many of the folks in Vermont, where the Rutland Herald is published, are no wiser than those Alabamans. Could it be that Jeff Danziger is frightened by the American South? I got over that quite quickly when teaching opportunities took us to Mississippi.
