You do have to admire the craft in gerrymandering, freezing the number of representatives (giving lower populations an advantage), making voting inconvenient, purging registries, and clever but outdated mechanism that can turn a popular vote loss into a victory and allow the loser to become president.
Lost. Huh. What a simple word. And so horribly inadequate. Pulitzer Prize Finalist Nick Anderson thinks that lost simply means the opposite of having won. No. While she didn’t win you can’t say she simply lost. Not with over half the votes. Not with all the evidence of Russian involvement. Not with the gerrymandering that was done to influence the election districts. No. She didn’t lose. She was robbed. Oh yes, I fully understand all the crimes laid at her doorstep. And fully agree with those who she was up to her own shenanigans. And I am all for a full investigation of those, as well as into Mr. Trump’s skulduggery.
When you travel across the US there is often no noticeable difference when you cross state lines. The are however, distinct areas where people do share cultural norms, but they are not represented as such.
If the EC was eliminated and the house of representatives proportionately represented these 11 “nations” (see the jpg below for a map) rather than 50 surveyed border lines we could have a more efficient and effective government that more accurately reflected who we are are and what we want instead of letting. The Senate could represent the 11 “nations” as equal in weight.
Many of us shop and work across state lines and we live in neighborhoods with people like us, so there would be no dramatic change expect for career politicians having to find new ways to divide us against each other for their benefit.
" In his fourth book, “American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures in North America,” award-winning author Colin Woodard identifies 11 distinct cultures that have historically divided the US. "
She lost – the electoral collage while winning by over two million votes for the popular vote. She lost – because of Russian influence bought on Facebook and other social media. She lost – when the FBI announced an investigation that was a nothing burger while secretly investigating Trump. She lost – because she didn’t visit all of the states she could have gone to. She lost – because “emails” – something the Trump administration has already done, but it is one of the least worrisome things to come out of this incompetent white house.
We all lost. we had 3 terrible choices in that election. Clinton was worst, (Read Bill’s history on accepting Chinese bribes, sending them key missile guidance materiel which they threatened us with, and probably passed to Korea; and the Chinese spy BILL insisted we allow into Los Alamos- where he stole over 45,000 pages of top secret materiel, then BILL personally walked him out of jail.) Trump was second worst, but I don’t need to list his flaws. You Libbies trumpet those every day. Johnson was least terrible- but certainly not good. What does it say about our system that our best choice was a doper with NO ideas on foreign policy?

The more evidence of fraud that comes to light suggests Clinton is our legitimate President.

Not true. The Russians changed the totals in key locations changing the electoral college.
