Yes, he is conflating two separate events here. The flooding is in Texas, and Arpaio was in Arizona. We know. Stow the yellow journalism charges outside.

Oh gawd, this is just about the blackest, most cynical cartoon I have ever seen. Keep up the good work.

Change is upsetting for most people, even when it’s good in the long term. We are creatures of habit. There was a time when society was less diverse and less skills were needed be gainfully employed. This has changed at an accelerating rate and people who where once a primary part of the workforce are now in a diminished position. Building walls around a country will not hold back the progress that the rest of the world is making … will not turn back time. The younger diverse generations do not vote like the older insecure -- frightened by change -- generations do. A profile of likely voters explains much of our current status … primarily driven by fear of change and imagined loss of privilege. Unfortunately the younger generations will have to clean up the mess being made by their fearful elders.

The bottom of the barrel…or maybe that’s too complimentary a term for it.

No one else by any other president has ever pardoned anyone like Arpaio was. Oh and when you are pardoned you in effect plead guilty.
