The coddled infants of the KKK should be open to both sides. The “political correctness” of white supremacist is the real threat against history. Free speech of anti-Nazis is being suppressed. When the Reich-wing goes to war do you support the racists or the rest of the Americans regardless of race, creed or orientation?
Frankly, I think they should be allowed to march in small groups on public property. If nothing else, it’s a reminder of just how freaking stupid those people are! I had forgotten how idiotic and paranoid white supremacists were until I saw video of the Charlottesville march. Also, I think we need that reminder that racism still exists. I think most of us have kind of forgotten that it still exists.
I read that the ACLU is reconsidering their support of free speech to exclude speech that is accompanied by arms. Seems a good distinction to me. In other words, have the guts to say what you want without threatening those who may oppose your position, and take the consequences of negative responses to your position.
On The Daily Show last night, Roy Woods Jr. said the nazis should have the courage to march in the ’hood, and see what happens. A college town is a pretty safe place for them.
We fought a war against Nazism. Germany outlawed Nazism. Why can’t we Outlaw Nazism? And what the hell does hate speech have to do with free speech? Any kind of speech that urges violence should be classified as a hate crime.
