I have heard that many schools no longer have recess. It’s been said that this is because of a proliferation of lawsuits over kids being injured on the playground. But that smacks of a conjured up explanation by someone who has an all-lawyers-are-evil-and-most-lawsuits-are-bogus ax to grind. Anyone know if recess is an endangered tradition? And if so, why?
